A modular mod for Fallout 4

Modern Military Pack — or MMP— is a free-to-download utility for Fallout 4. It contains modular modern military uniforms designed to be worn by male and female characters. However, the patches are based on fictional military factions — such as Call of Duty’s Konni group, Rainbow Six Siege’s Team Rainbow, and Resident Evil’s S.T.A.R.S — and thus don’t include units from real life to prevent political issues from arising. 

According to developer FafnyB aka Fafnesbane, MMP is like an extension of the PMC Operators Pack — a mod with Fallout faction and country flag patches.

Customize your character’s military uniform

As Modern Military Pack is a comprehensive mod, you have access to a variety of tactical and military-themed colorways for your character’s uniform, such as A-TACS FG, Coyote Brown, Coyote Tan, Ranger Green, and many more. Meticulously handcrafted by the developer, the accuracy and attention to detail are praiseworthy as the mod’s color variants closely mirror the ones seen in military clothing. 

This mod includes a diverse selection of backpanels, backpacks, gloves, and headwear. Furthermore, you can also add droplegs or alter the hood position of your character’s attire. There are circular and rectangular patch types, as well. While each one boasts different designs, only the patches for factions in Fallout 4 come in both types. With plenty to choose from, you can freely customize your character’s armor and backpack. 

If the designs don’t catch your fancy or want your character to sport your favorite real-life military faction or country flag, feel free to add your own by accessing the dds-template in “Miscellaneous Files.” In addition, bear in mind that only rectangular patches are compatible with backpacks, whereas the armor supports all patch types. Like The Automatic Rifle (Colt Monitor BAR) - Commonwealth Weaponry Expansion, this mod requires the base game.

Overall, Modern Military Pack is a mod with robust customization options. Not only can you change a military garb’s colorway, you can also select from a wide range of cosmetic items and add patches. The patches themselves are based on fictional military factions, so you won’t find ones that represent country flags and real units — unless you add them yourself via the dds-template.
